My Partner and I decided to move to Australia, using my nursing qualification and expierience. I initially contacted MCI via a web site designed for nurses wanting to work overseas, stating my qualifications and desired areas of nursing in which to work.

From the initial enquiry made by myself, through the application and interview stage and then on to applying for our visas and preparation for the move, both personally and professionally my family and I could not have been better looked after.

The experts say that moving house and starting a new job are among the most stressful things you are likely to experience in your life, and without moving country at the same time! MCI prepared us well for the stresses we would encounter, and I believe made the process much less of a daunting and stressful one by assisting and advising us every step of the way.

Steve and Hilary & Family - Melbourne

Steve & Hilary & family at Bondi Beach

We have settled really well in Melbourne. It really does live up to it's reputation as the "World's most livable city". It has it all, beaches, bush and city life in abundance. We came out on temporary sponsorship with a position all set up, before we left the UK. We like it so much we have decided to stay for ever! ..........and are now permanent residents.

Very soon we will be applying  for our Australian Citizenship! We both work as mental health nurses and the opportunities here are plentiful. Steve has been successful with two promotions in a year and is now working on a National Suicide Prevention Project.

Our thanks to MCI for they huge assistance with the arduous visa and registration paperwork. The meet and greet at the airport was worth it's weight in gold, as we knew no-one here prior to our arrival.Once again, our thanks to MCI for helping us make it all possible.

Moving here to Melbourne has been one of the best decisions
I have ever made. The Social scene is great … I am never in !
There is always something happening, The Grand Prix, Tennis , Wine tasting, Food festivals , the list is endless. I have money left in the bank at the end of each month, plus I am able to save but am still able to go out and enjoy myself. As for work I am less stressed and enjoy my job again I have done some traveling and cant sell this country enough, I am having a ball.
